We are looking for an experienced technical business analyst to support us with translating business needs into technical specifications. This ranges from early discovery, with data insights and requirements analysis, to supporting the development and QA activities during delivery. Who is your team? The Ecommerce foundation team provides core building blocks that power the ecommerce platform, so product teams can focus on their core mission. Within the Ecommerce foundation team, you are part of the Engagement & Lifecycle domain, within Digital Product & Innovation. This domain consists of multiple product teams, including:

  • Ecommerce foundation
  • MyAccount & Self-Service
  • Create Customer Awareness
  • Customer Domain

The team builds and maintains shared platform capabilities that enable secure, scalable, and efficient product development. By centralizing concerns such as authentication, authorization, and others, we reduce duplication, lower cognitive load for developers, and accelerate product delivery across the organization. We have diverse stakeholder landscape, as our products are customer-facing (webshop login) as well as internal- facing (back-office app for employees, and APIs towards developers of adjacent teams). As Technical Business Analyst, you will work within the Ecommerce foundation team but also cross-team, interacting with adjacent teams (buying journey teams, platform and data teams). You report to the Head of Product Engagement and Lifecycle. What is your role? As a Technical Business Analyst, you operate at the intersection of business, product and engineering. You support the team with translating strategic business goals, user needs and platform goals, into clear and structured requirements and acceptance criteria. This is not a purely functional BA role, as our products are also developer-facing.

Who are you?

What do we offer? We are an ambitious, fast-growing and financially sound organization. You can obviously expect:

  • Requirements analysis includes eliciting, analyzing, and formalizing business and technical requirements to ensure that business goals, program initiatives, and user needs are translated into smaller, manageable increments that can be prioritized to maximize value.
  • Collaborate with engineers on solution design, defining API contracts, data models, and functional flows, and challenging assumptions to improve outcomes (both in the team, and across teams)
  • Structuring information by modelling of and documenting (business) processes to support solution design and technical refinements for new functionalities.
  • Support delivery and quality assurance – validate delivered functionality against defined acceptance criteria
  • Data analytics and insights, drive data-informed decision making by defining meaningful product metrics, enabling data exposure, and bringing insights back to the team and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a business analyst in E -commerce platform, being bridging business and engineering, including APIs, data flows, user journeys, and complex digital products
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset, able to translate data into insights and metrics
  • Structured thinking with the ability to break down complex problems into clear requirements and define solutions in uncertain situations
  • Understanding of both customer‑facing and internal platform needs
  • Strong English communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Proactive, self‑driven, and able to take ownership with minimal guidance
  • Brings energy, accountability, and momentum while enabling collaboration and avoiding bottlenecks
  • This is a hybrid role, you’ll work from our Utrecht office minimum 2 days a week and the rest from wherever you’re most productive.
  • 25 vacation days and 12 ADV days (based on a fulltime contract)
  • Flexible working policy in hours and location (Utrecht or our HQ in Varsseveld)
  • Travel- and working from home allowance
  • Profit sharing bonus
  • Great budget for training and courses
  • Generous pension plan
